Levelling up Characters

Once you've completed the one-time Fight Money bonuses, levelling up your characters will be your most natural way of earning Fight Money.

Each character has an individual level in addition to your overall player level. Everything you've seen described above Trials, Story, Survival, Online, even Demonstrations they all give you Character Experience for the character you're using at the time. Every time a character levels up. which gets gradually more difficult, you'll be rewarded with 1000 Fight Money .

Online Play

By far the least lucrative but most ‘normal' method of earning Fight Money is by playing online you earn a fairly pathetic 50 fight money for every match you win. More important, however, is the Character Experience you earn as part of this…

Survival Mode

Survival Mode is the closest thing Street Fighter 5 has to a traditional arcade ladder. There's four difficulties Easy, Medium, Hard and Extreme, and individual records for each character.

Survival Mode rewards you with Fight Money and Character Experience upon your first completion of each difficulty with each character. Completing it on easy will net you 2000 Fight Money per each member of the cast. for instance. Normal offers 5000, Hard 10,000 and Extreme an impressive 20,000. These modes take some time they require you to endure 10, 30, 50 and 100 fights respectively.

Survival mode actually unlocks more than just Fight Money each difficulty nets Character Experience for each character, and unlocks of costume colours will be earned for the character and costume you're using.

Character Trials

Under the ‘Trials' option from the Challenges menu, you'll find a set of ten combo challenges for each character in the game. These are designed to help you to understand the execution of Street Fighter, but each also carries with it a reward.

Each character's trials will offer up 1000 Fight Money when all ten tasks have been completed. plus a chunk of Character Experience.

Tutorial Demonstrations

Found under the Challenges option the main menu, this way of earning Fight Money is surprisingly rather overlooked. This is an incredibly easy way to get a one-time drop of Fight Money, as these demonstrations play as videos and nothing more. You don't have to play you just have to hit Light Kick (A/X) to progress between each slide of new information.

Demonstrations are split into four sections Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Character Specific. Completing every header under the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced headings will net you 1000 Fight Money each for a total of 3000.

The Character Specific heading is even more kind, offering 1500 Fight Money plus some Character Experience Points for each heading viewed. These are actually incredibly useful in general, too, and are well worth paying attention to rather than simply leafing through them each page of this contains vital information on how each character works. All of these Fight Money bonuses are a one-time deal.

Cinematic Story

Also under the Story option on the main menu is this, the later-added Cinematic Story. This has to be downloaded for free from Steam or PlayStation Network as a separate package, but it is a free piece of DLC.

This story mode is heavy on the cutscenes, but they can be skipped if you wish though we wouldn't recommend it, there's some fun stuff in here. There's several fights along the way. Once the story mode is complete, you'll be rewarded 30,000 Fight Money but only the first time.

Completing the story once unlocks it on an ‘Extra' Difficulty. The story is identical, but the fights are harder but completing it on ‘Extra' will land you a glorious 50,000 Fight Money also one time only.

Character Stories

Under the Story option on the main menu is the ‘Character Story' tab hit that to find a story for each of the game's characters, including any added after-the-fact as Downloadable Content.

Character stories are extremely lucrative in the Fight Money stakes each story only consists of a couple of fights, but each is worth 10,000 Fight Money upon first completion. a significant chunk for the amount of effort it requires. Each will also net you some Character Experience.
