If you have cans around your home, find a local recycling center that will let you turn them in for cash. Most places will pay you anywhere from about fifty cents per pound up to a dollar or so per pound, so call around. The more cans you have, the more money you will be able to earn. Just don't pass up the closest place to home for one further away that will pay you a cent or two more per pound, as you would waste the bonus in the gas getting there.
