With the internet, the world is your marketplace – so somebody, somewhere will want to buy what you’re selling. Ebay is the quickest and most reputable way to make a little online cash, by selling your unwanted goods. What may seem like junk to you is a treasure trove to somebody else. As with anything else, you need to do your research. Find out what’s selling and at what sort of price. Ideally, you want something that is gaining in price, so you can buy low and sell on at a higher price later. Toys and collectibles are often a good bet if you want to use Ebay to earn money online.
2. Amazon Marketplace
This is especially useful for clearing out your book and CD collection, and probably a better way to do it than Ebay. Amazon do all the hard work of finding buyers and processing payments, and take a little cut in return. However, they do credit you with postage, so you can make some quite reasonable money using this method.
3. Reading Emails
You can earn money online by reading emails, but approach with caution. Some of the sites offering high payouts are little more than scams, and you’ll earn nothing but trouble and inconvenience if you sign up to them. Sites offering between 1 to 50 cents are safer bets, but do your research.
4. Taking Surveys
Another popular scheme, but again, one that has a poor reputation. It is possible to earn money online by completing online surveys, often by earning points that you can exchange for cash. Bear in mind that you actually have to complete the surveys, which can be time consuming. Never, ever pay to take a survey with the vague promise of a payout after you’ve completed it.
5. Affiliate Marketing
Being an affiliate basically means acting as an online salesperson for somebody else’s product. You direct traffic to the website you’re affiliated to, through your own website or advertising campaign, and you take a percentage of any sale. There are many affiliate networks you can subscribe to, giving you a host of products to promote. ClickBank and PayDotCom are the biggest.
This can be a very good way to earn money online, but one that requires even more practice and research than the other methods. The advantage is that once you’ve got the hang of it, it’s a steady earner.
The internet has opened up the entire world, and as such, it is an unprecedented opportunity to earn money. Online or offline, however, the principle is the same – you have to put in some work first.
