How many places do you have spare change? You may have some under your couch cushions, some in a jar in the office area of your home, and you probably have some in your car. Combining all of the change you have in and around your home could net you more than you think. Try going through your home and see what you can come up with. Most banks allow their own customers to have their coins counted for free, but if you do not have that option, many grocery stores have coin-counting machines that only cost a fraction of each dollar. Make sure you check your nightstand, under your bed, the kitchen, the laundry room, and under the floor mats in your car. All of these places are notorious for hiding change.
