Listing of Jobs from Home, Both Current and Past

What Jobs From Home Are Available? How Do I Find Them?

In your search for jobs from home, remember there truly are a lot of jobs out there. Of course there are a lot of scams too. If you haven't been well versed in online scams be sure to read up on it. Always check out the company that is offering the job. You'll want to talk to a real person, have REAL contact information. Most positions do not ask for a fee of any kind. However - I have ran across a few that ask for an up front training fee that is reimbursed in your first paycheck. But before every paying a single cent understand who you're paying, why you're paying!

Not all opportunities to work from home are actual employment positions. Therefore, there is some chance, as with direct sales companies or multi-level marketing companies that a fee WILL be involved. Basically this is start up money. When I started selling Avon years ago I had to pay a fee! This minimal fee paid for my start up kit . To this day, Avon charges a fee for their start up it. Though it's only $10 you still have to pay that fee.

Avon is not a scam. It's a very reputable company that has been in business for years. So yes, a fee can sometimes be involved. Now would I pay a fee to do a data entry job from home. An actual independent contractor (1099) type position? I don't think so. Why would I be paying a fee? Unless it's for phone service or equipment or some kind of reimbursed training I think I would avoid it. I would certainly investigate the company and make calls to the BBB and Chamber of Commerce to see what I could find out. You can also do an easy check on Google by just typing in the companies name and the words scam and reviews . This usually turns up something if the company has been around for any decent amount of time.

Jobs from home exist. But different definitions of jobs from home also exist. What I do to earn an income from home is most certainly not a job in the traditional sense. I don't have a boss, and I don't drive to an office, I don't get a paycheck I earn my income through various streams of income. Whether it's Swagbucks. Hits4Pay or FusionCash or even writing for cash I earn checks real money but it's not really a job that you're gonna apply for and do a particular task for an employer.

There are some people that would consider the options above, well…not options for a job at home. They are looking for an honest to goodness JOB. They've prepared a resume, a cover letter and are very serious. For those folks I spend every day searching for actual employment positions that can be done from home. I don't screen each job, but if they appear to be actual employment opportunities I post them. If at any time I am told that something posted is a definite scam then it will be removed.

Some jobs will fill quickly unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about that. Just keep looking for something else that might interest you.

Of course, there are many tools out there for you. Never get too discouraged! No matter what you decide to do whether it's approaching your current boss about telecommuting, starting your own business, starting with a direct sales company or finding a different job altogether don't lose sight of why you're doing it. Knowing what you want is great but knowing why you're doing it will take you the distance. Spending more time with your family might be worth a financial decrease in the income you currently make. Be able to care for an elderly parent by having a more flexible schedule might be the reason that gives you the gumption to go in and ask for that telecommuting option. Motivation is key and being realistic is essential.
