The holidays aren't far away, and you might be trying to think of ways to make some extra cash for Christmas after all, Christmas may be the most wonderful time of the year, but it's also the most expensive time of the year!

These methods are tried and true I personally use (or have used) all of them, and can verify that they are definitely legitimate ways to make extra cash this holiday season!
8 Ways to Make Extra Cash for Christmas
1. Take some online surveys
I regularly make money from taking online surveys in fact, I just cashed out over $145 (which took me only a few hours to make) I'll be using that to pay for my son's Christmas presents.
There are tons of survey sites out there, and I've tried a lot of them. Unfortunately, many of them aren't legit. One of the main things to remember is NEVER give your credit card information to any survey site. There is no reason whatsoever why they should need this they are meant to be paying you, not the other way round!
A few survey sites that I have used and actually recommend are:

2. Get cash back on your groceries
You buy groceries anyway, so why not get cash back on them?

3. Have a yard sale (virtual or old-school)
Yard sales are a great way to declutter and make some extra cash. At my last yard sale, we made almost $400 for just a few hours work. We had an old-school yard sale in our actual yard, but you could also hold a virtual yard sale on Facebook or even Instagram.
If you decide to hold an Instagram yard sale, make sure you research relevant hashtags and make it very what the rules are.
It's a good idea to put the rules in your bio, on each listing, and to create an image with the text LISTING RULES and then list the rules of your sale in the description.
Most people will get buyers to comment SOLD and then their Paypal email address. And make sure you make it very clear whether the buyer is responsible for shipping costs or not.
4. Clean out your closet
Selling your old clothes on ThredUp is a great way to declutter, ready for the New Year, and to make some extra cash for Christmas at the same time.

5. Share your expertise
If you're an expert on a certain topic, then you can make extra money for Christmas by teaching your skills to others. You could do this in person by holding workshops, or you could create an online course and sell it on Udemy .
6. Ghostwrite
You probably won't get rich from ghostwriting, but you can definitely make some extra cash for Christmas. If you have a knack for writing, then sign up to BlogMutt. I've had a great experience with writing for BlogMutt. They have a wonderful forum full of supportive, helpful, fellow writers, they pay out every week straight into your PayPal account, and there's no minimum threshold you have to meet to request payment.
7. Sell books on Amazon
If you have any books laying around the house that you don't need anymore, sell them on Amazon. Amazon is the go-to place for buying books for millions of people, so if you list your books for a fair price, you shouldn't have any trouble selling them and making some extra cash for Christmas.

8. Start a small business

If you're good at graphic design, you could design beautiful printables and list them on Etsy.
You could make your own lip balms and body butters and sell them on Facebook.
If you're good at cooking, maybe you could make home-cooked meals (like lasagne, chicken alfredo, spaghetti bolognese, etc.) freeze them, and then sell them to people in your neighborhood. (Everyone loves a home-cooked meal, but not everyone has the time to make one!)
