Some nights I lie awake thinking of everything I shouldn't be thinking of. What i mean by that is that the late night is really a time when, if we're awake, we should be thinking of ways to make our lives better, happier, less stressful and the things we can do to achieve this. Late night thinking should be of relaxing things, and things that make us happy. My late night thinking ALWAYS consists of what can I do to keep my employers happy and to ensure I do what I need to do stay employed. Come to think of it, most of my days used to be encumbered with these same thoughts.
What kind of existence is that? Wouldn't it be nice to create a way of living that would completely remove this from our existence?
Imagine a life thinking of only those things concerning our happiness. Our families, our loved one's, friends, all those things that bring smiles to our faces and wonderful thoughts to our minds. I don't think this is too difficult to achieve.
Everyone needs to remember that we are here solely for the purpose of learning from each other - that's all. We are here on a journey to create for ourselves and the others around us wonderful things. This is an absolutely impossible endeavor if all we can think about is the strife and daily grind we have brought upon ourselves.
We can take control. We can allow only things that make us happy into our existence. We can in essence "drive" our lives down any road we choose. Why do we so consistently choose the rocky, bumpy roads? We have the choice to take any road we want. We just have to use our inner spirit to read the map and then choose the highway we take.
Since the main focus of so much of the difficulties we encounter comes from what we choose to do for a living, let's focus on that. What can we do to make THAT part of our lives less taxing? There are definitely things you can do. There are ways we can come together to help each other WITHOUT taking advantage of one another.
Think of how much grief would leave your life what you do to for a living was something that brought you joy. What if it was something you looked forward to everyday? What if?
